Nokia brings maps on mobile phones in collaboration with Lonely Planet @ $11.75/download (India)
Nokia in collaboration with travel information company Lonely Planet will be selling maps and city guides that can be accessed on mobile phones. The Finnish handset maker, reportedly said that, users of Nokia Maps can now download information about more than 100 popular tourist locations provided by Lonely Planet and each download will costs 7.99 euros($11.75).Nokia Maps 2.0 are provided by Navteq and TeleAtlas.
“The Lonely Planet guides will help travelers to find great places to eat, shop and sleep, as well as describing the popular sights and nightlife for each destination,” Nokia said. The downloads will be available in the Extras menu on Nokia phones.
