Worldwide 3G subscribers has crossed 50 million mark
According to a recent estimates the worlwide 3G HSPA networks subscribers has crossed 50 million mark. This number was 11 million a year ago. The subscription and usage is growing leaps and bounds among consumers and businesses, indicating continous traffic growth for high-speed mobile networks worldwide.
The research estimates the growth will be accelerated to 4million per month by the 2008 end.
The number of operators providing 3G services has reached 191 and there are now over 740 3G devices available from 116 manufacturers.
The data speed ranges from 3.6Mbps and 7.2Mbps.
