LG Electronics is the leading the global CDMA handset market for Q2’08 and it has been leading for sixth consecutive quarter. The shipments totalled to 12.7 million units and accounting for a 27.5% market share, the highest ever gained by LG.
Samsung Electronics, was the second ranked CDMA handset vendor, shippment was 8.2 million CDMA handsets for a 17.7% market share in Q2, followed by Motorola with 5.1 million units of shipments and 11% market share.
LG sold nearly 7.6 million units of CDMA handset in the US market in Q2, accounting to 60% of the entire CDMA handset business.
