AT&T plans an investment of $50 million in Massachusetts (USA)

AT&T, USA, is planning an investment of $50 million in the Massachusetts wireless network in ’08. During this investment plan, the USA’s largest operator will expand the 3G mobile network to more cities.
With the end of 2008, nearly 214 cell sites in the state will be added to the 3G technology. AT&T along with 3G expnasion plans to add six new cell sites in Massachusetts.
According to the telco, few sites have already gone live  including those in South Natick, Andover and Hampden. New coverage will also be added in Quincy near Marina Bay, in Grafton along Route 140 as well as in the town of Swampscott.
Vice president of external affairs for AT&T in Massachusetts, Michelle Consalvo, stated that “Our 2008 technology investment is a tangible measure of our desire to provide our customers with unsurpassed service and delivers on our promise to further innovation that will help grow the state’s overall economic well being.”
