Matthias Kurth, the President of Bundesnetzagentur has reportedly announced thast the 3G licence will be allowed in the frequency bands of 1.8GHz and 2.6GHz. The spectrum will be awarded in 2009 and the auction will be open not just for the present operators, but for others as well.
