Verizon move towards expansion of wireless network in Maine (USA)

Verizon Wireless, an operator of a wireless voice and data network and a joint venture of Verizon Communications  and Vodafone , announced that the company has activated two new cell sites in York County, Maine, USA.

The new sites reportedly increase wireless voice and data coverage and capacity along Routes 25, 11 and 117 in Limington and Standish, Maine, as well as the surrounding area.
Verizon said that the company has invested over USD100 million during the first six months of 2008 in Maine. As a result of these investments, every Verizon cell site in New England now provides wireless broadband connectivity.
