Magyar Telekom plans a job cut of 300 employees by Q1’09 (Hungary)

Magyar Telekom, Hungary, plans to have a job cut wherein it’ll shun off 300 employees by Q1’09 at a cost of $27.41 million. The job cut will bring about an annual saving of 1.8 billion forints in staff-related expenses. The Hungarian operator has also agreed with unions on a 5.6 percent wage increase from April 1, 2009.
