eMobile, the Japanese mobile operator, submits the application for a LTE trial permit in a district in Tokyo. The parent company applied to MIC for the trial conducting rights starting this year end and going on to May-end 2009. In the trial the things which will be evaluated are radiowave propagation, throughput, evaluate MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) transmission performance, test applications (including VoIP, streaming and online gaming), and conduct a multi-cell, multi-user test (covering interference characteristics, sector throughput and handover technology, amongst other things). The companies are aiming to adopt LTE during 1H 2011.
