Presently, French Government is in no mood to vend part of its stake in France Telecom SA. According to Bruno Bezard, head of the agency, “No operation is envisaged for France Telecom.” The shares of France Telecom dropped as much as 4.1% in yesterday’s morning trading lead to rumour in the air that government was planning to sell part of its holding in the company.

France Telecom shares were slipped 2.1%, at EUR19.29 in an overall higher market. Moreover, spokeswoman for the French Finance Ministry has formally denied plans to sell any of the 26.79% stake the government holds in France’s incumbent operator.
