China Telecom expects to gain more share in CDMA business

China Telecom, subsequent to the acquisition of CDMA business from China Unicom in October is anticipating to gain a bigger share in China’s mobile telecoms market, according to the sources.

The company said it would invest RMB 80 billion in three years to upgrade and enlarge the existing CDMA network.

The company executive said, China Telecom expects to develop CDMA into China’s top brand among mobile internet users with laptops by integrating its fixed-line broadband and mobile broadband services.
