3G auction for private operators reschedule to 9th Feb’09 (India)
The auction of 3G spectrum for private operators which was scheduled on January 15th has been delayed for almost a month and rescheduled on February 9th. The official memorandum on the auction process will be released on December 8th and operator’s decision to bid can be finalized by December 31st. The Communications and Information Technology Minister A. Raja revealed that the North-East and Rajasthan would not be able to avail of 3G services because of unavailability of spectrums.
