Motorola & CIECC in an agreement to launch m-commerce laboratory
Motorola (Malaysia-based mobile pones manufacturer) is in alliance with China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC), an agency operating under China’s Ministry of Commerce responsible for the development of electronic information projects. This new agreement was inked to instigate an m-commerce laboratory in Beijing. The laboratory will allow Motorola and its partners to develop the ecosystem and pre-integrate and validate the service prior to commercial deployments in China.
The mobile phones company have reported that the m-commerce laboratory is anticipated to interconnect industry, government and academia to facilitate certain aspects in the m-commerce environment such as research and commercialization of mobile applications, mobile payment and security, and enterprise mobile commerce application.
