Qatar sees a sale of 300,000 3G mobile handsets in 2008
Qatar has reportedly seen a huge jump in the sale of 3G mobile handsets, doubling the number of handsets sold in 2007. The number of 3G handsets sold reached nearly 300,000, reports Axiom Telecom. The surge in mobile sales is due, in large part, to the mass migration of users from traditional voice-only mobiles to more sophisticated third-generation mobile technology widely adopted across the Middle East in the last few years,†Axiom Telecom said.
