RCom offers lucrative schemes to attract subscribers (India)
Reliance Communications has launched its GSM services in Mumbai circle and is offering lucrative schemes to attract subscribers. The new scheme offers Rs 900 talk time on local calls and SMS which can be accrued by subscribers in daily packages of Rs 10 each for 90 days. Moreover, the scheme includes unlimited calls between 11.00 pm to 6.00 am within RCom network in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa. These new schemes will lead to tariff war and will affect the churn from rival GSM operators present in the circle.
“In a short span of 11 months, Reliance Mobile has created a GSM network in Mumbai whose coverage and capabilities are superior to GSM networks that have been in existence for 15 years. Over 16 Million GSM customers in Mumbai can now avail of state-of-the-art, next generation, EDGE ready Reliance Mobile GSM Network – the only network that offers Digital Voice clarity and up to 100% cost savings for the cost-conscious mobile user segment”, said Dinesh Gulati Regional Head – West, Reliance Communications.
RCom has claimed that its services will offer congestion-free and zero-Call drop GSM services. The services will be offered through its retail network comprising of 15,000 retail outlets and more than 100 Reliance stores.
