Oi intends to invest $13.10Bn in next five years (Brazil)
Oi, the Brazilian incumbent, plans to invest nearly $13.10 billion in next five years in order to double its subscriber base and take foriegn acquisition into consideration. According to CEO Luiz Eduardo Falco say Oi’s “ambition is to be a Brazilian multinational”. The telco intends to acquire companies in Latin America, the Caribbean and Portuguese-speaking Africa, to reach 110 million users in five years, he added.
