Mexico expands Nextel’s licence

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: The Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) has reportedly granted Nextel Mexico a licence for provision of additional services, including local wireless fixed and mobile telephony and data transmission services.

Earlier, the incumbent was only allowed the provision of specialized radio trunking and wireless phone service provision via third parties, now it is planning to widen its service offerings. SCT has modified three concession titles for 64 basic service areas that cover the entire national territory.
