www.WirelessFederation.com/news: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, TRAI, asks the mobile operators to cut down the SMS tariffs for their roaming subscribers.
According to TRAI chairman Nripendra Misra, SMS should not be priced more than the call charges levied on roaming. He further said that mobile operators have been communicated about this and have agreed to cut the SMS tariffs for roaming subscribers from May’09.
