Sibirtelecom subscriber base exceeds 5Mn mark (Siberia)
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Sibirtelecom, Siberian mobile operator has crossed the mark of 5 million subscribers, with the net addition of 600,000 new subscribers last year.
Sibirtelecom General Director Alexander Isaev, said, throughout 2008, the operator invested around RUB 3 billion in the development of its mobile network in the Krasnoyar, Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions, as well as the republics of Buriyatia and Khakassiya.
The subsidiary of Sibirtelecom, Eniseytelecom in Krasnoyar krai and the Republic of Khakassiya has more than 2 million subscribers, while Baikalvestcom in the Irkutsk region serves about 2 million subscribers and Ulan-Udenskaya Cellular Communication claims more than 600,000 subscribers.
