Nepal ends March’09 with mobile subscriber base of 4.167Mn

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Nepal’s telecoms subscriber base at the end of March’09-end reached 5.5 million, up by 45% year-on-year, reports telecoms regulator, NTA. Of the total, 622,667 comprised of fixed-line subscribers whereas the mobile subscriber base stood at 4.167 million at March-end. Nepal Telecom led the market with 2.357 million mobile subscribers, followed by Spice Nepal (Mero Mobile) with 1.810 million.
