Mobile penetration in Ukraine drops to 120.5% at March’09-end

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Ukraine’s mobile subscriber base reached 55.41 million at the end of March’09, falling from 55.59 million in February. Astelit, the Ukrainian operator, grabbed 72.1% of the net addition and ended March with a market share of 20.7%. Kyivstar’s subscriber base, on the other hand, dropped from 23.32 million subscribers in February to 23.05 million at the end of March and posted a market share of 41.6%. UMC posted a subscriber base of 17.93 million and 32.4% of market share at the end of March. Vimpelcom had a market share of 3.4% at the end of March.
Mobile penetration in country fell by 0.3% since February to 120.5%.
