Elisa’s ARPU declines to EUR 24.1 (Finland)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Elisa, Finland mobile operator experiences a drop in revenue in Q1’09. The revenue slid from EUR 367 million to EUR 351 million. EBITDA excluding non- recurring items dipped to EUR 115 million from EUR 111 million, EBITDA margin rose to 33% from 29% in Q1 2008, while EBIT grown year-on-year to EUR 62 million from EUR 57 million.

Elisa’s subscriber base stands at 146,000 during the quarter, due in particular to the new 3G and 2G subscribers, mobile broadband and prepaid subscriptions. ARPU declined to EUR 24.1 from EUR 26.3 due to strong subscription growth and a lower interconnection fee. The capital expenditures slipped from EUR 38 million to EUR 34 million. Also, cash flow after investments dropped EUR 46 million.
