Vietnamobile launches welcome back programme for CDMA subscribers (Vietnam)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Vietnamobile, the Vietnamese mobile operator is redirecting its CDMA subscribers using the services since May’08 to its GSM network it launched recently. The operator, a partnership between Hutchison Telecommunications International and local operator Hanoi Telecom, has dubbed the move a “welcome back programme for thanking loyal customers.” Vietnamobile introduced its GSM services in the country in 9 April, phone numbers starting with 092.
The first phase if welcome back programme will be for its subscribers based in big cities, further moving onto cover the whole country.
The previous CDMA services of Vietnamobile were operational under the name HT Mobile. The services were then suspended in mid-2008 to prepare for its GSM services.
