www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Entel Movil is reportedly planning to significantly improve its GSM coverage in congested urban areas and those rural regions where it lacks a presence. The expansion and upgrades across all nine of the country’s departments will see Entel install around 225 new base stations, and the cellco expects to increase its network capacity by up to one million lines by June 2009. This plan will allow it to reach more than one million subscribers across 11,969 communities. The operator is also intending to deploy 3G services in 2009, however it has not announced any timeframe or locations for such a service.
