www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Telefonica has been awarded a three-year contract by Sabeco, retail group of Spain, an Auchan subsidiary to offer data communications and fixed and mobile voice services. Telefonica said it will optimise the communications infrastructure supporting Sabeco’s business applications, including store management, stock control and payment systems. Telefonica will deliver higher bandwidth, including the use of fibre, and will give Sabeco the means to add innovative business applications. The agreement comprises of communications security measures and can be extended to technologies such as 3D TV and NFC mobile phone payment systems
