www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Huawei Technologies, a major telecom equipment vendor in China, has won a 3G cooperation contract from Avea. The vendor will deploy a 3G network and deliver 3G based services in central Anatolia and the Mediterranean regions.
The contract, which is valued at over US$100 million, will include investments in 3G technical systems, 3G management and auditing systems, 3G spare part management, and 3G training and professional support.
Avea is likely to launch 3G services for Turkish customers in 2009.
