ComCom to enable use of 3G services at 900MHz frequency (Switzerland)
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: ComCom, the Swiss telecoms regulator has reportedly said that its will allow all three mobile operators in the country to use the 900MHz frequency range for 3G (W-CDMA) services.
A minor reallocation of frequencies will be required to achieve this. Orange, which at present owns too few 900MHz frequencies for this purpose, is receiving additional spectrum from Sunrise and Swisscom. In exchange, Orange will hand over frequencies in the 1800MHz range to its two rivals.
