Net addition of subscribers in April fall to 11.75Mn (India)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: A fastest growing telecom industry across the globe, experiences a downfall in the number of new subscribers in April. It added 11.75 million telephone connections in comparison to 15.87 million in March. The number of telephone connections reached 441.47 million in April from 429.72 million a month before, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said. Overall tele-density reached 37.94 from 36.98. The total wireless subscribers (GSM, CDMA and wireless local loop-fixed) have reached 403.66 million. Considering the wireline sector, the subscriber base dipped 0.15 million to 37.81 million in April. Although, the broadband subscriber base stood at 6.28 million.
