China Telecom inks strategic agreement with Anhui govt, plans investment of RMB 18 billion

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: China Telecom, one of the nations leading telco, has inked a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Anhui province under which the telco will make an investment of RMB 18 billion in next five years.
China will spend this money on information infrastructure construction to speed up the development of IT industry in Anhui Province. The company said that its networks will cover all cites above county-level in the province.
China Telecom’s Chairman Wang Xiaochu said that the company acquired CDMA networks belonging to China Unicom for RMB 110 billion last year, of which RMB 2.4 billion was for the network in Anhui.
