www.WirelessFederation.com/news: France Telecom reportedly said that it is not negotiating with Kuwait’s Mobile Telecommunications Co., known as Zain Group, or Egyptian business tycoon Rami Lakah to sell them its stake in the Egyptian Company for Mobile Services, or ECMS.

Saad Al Barrak, Zain Group’s Chief Executive and Managing Director, has also denied that his company is in talks with France Telecom to buy its stake in ECMS.
Hisham Al Alayli, France Telecom’s spokesman for the Middle East and African affairs, reportedly said that France Telecom plans to take legal action to defend its rights after its request to acquire an additional stake in ECMS from Orascom Telecom was rejected by the Egyptian Capital Market Authority. Alayli further said that his company didn’t provoke the dispute with Orascom Telecom- its major partner in ECMS.
