Telkomsel & ZTE ink service deal

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Indonesia’s Telkomsel and ZTE the Chinese equipment vendor have inked a three-year framework contract. The contract covers 2G BSS and 3G UTRAN equipment. According to the terms of the deal, all equipment vended by ZTE to Telkomsel must be supported by technical services provided by ZTE Indonesia, while ZTE Indonesia will provide systems upgrade, on-site technical support and repair and maintenance services to Telkomsel. ZTE will also offer a joint-liability guarantee in respect of the performance obligations of ZTE Indonesia under the technical support framework agreement for an amount not exceeding USD 40 million.
