Court orders Sprint Nextel to sell network assets (USA)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Sprint Nextel has ordered to vend its network assets in 81 markets across four states to comply with a court ruling. In February 2009 an Illinois court ruled that Sprint may not offer cellular services in the same markets as its affiliate iPCS. The company was subsequently ordered to offload parts of its Nextel iDEN network in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Nebraska by 25 January 2010.  The assets associated with with Sprint’s CDMA network will not be sold as part of this process.
