www.WirelessFederation.com/news: T-Mobile Macedonia, the leading operator in terms of subscribers has named Ericsson of Sweden a sole supplier of W-CDMA/HSPA technology. The contract is valid for four years. As per the deal, Ericsson will supply a complete W-CDMA/HSPA network, including radio access network (RAN) and modernisation of the existing packet-core network. The telco is hoping that the upgradation will provide the necessary network capacity and functionality needed to handle anticipated future growth of mobile broadband services in a cost-effective manner.

Michael Lawrence, CEO of T-Mobile Macedonia, said, ‘Ericsson’s HSPA solution will enable us to launch mobile broadband services quickly and with high quality and performance. Partnering with Ericsson means we can offer our customers a superior communications experience and strengthen T-Mobile Macedonia’s position as a leading 3G network operator and service provider.’
