Nokia extends EMI facility for high-end smartphones- report (India)
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Nokia is reportedly looking at extended equated monthly installment facility to its consumers for its high-end smartphones. The company has inked a contract with HDFC and Citibank to provide three-month EMI option at zero percent interest to boost consumer demand and increase competition.
Saurav Mukherjee, Regional General Manager-east said that the company is starting this EMI facility with Nokia N97 for the first time. If the company gets good response then it might replicate it to other future launches. The phone will be available in EMIs in selected cities and is priced in the range of INR 30,000-35,000. A company spokesperson said that the phone has been launched across India and pre-booking has commenced with pretty good response.
