Etisalat & Ericsson to join forces
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Etisalat and Ericsson inked a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint committee to collaborate on common business objectives of both companies in the Middle East and Africa region. Areas outlined in the MoU include streamlining collaboration on international projects in order to assist Etisalat to bring services to new markets faster, driving the operator’s progress towards all-IP networks, and optimising capital and operational expenditure at the carrier.
In order to accomplish the set objectives, both the firms will work on centralised hosted applications and services and development of customised applications and services to address both the enterprise and consumer segment. The specific area of interest comprises of hosted mobile advertising, content and media aggregation, IPTV and intelligent network / IMS systems and strategy.
