www.WirelessFederation.com/news: British Telecom, is intending to cut down on the costs as the nation faces world's worst recession for which the telco has offered its employees a year at home in return to a 75% pay cut. The staff, according to the Spokesman BT, have also been offered a one-off payment of 1,000 pounds if they agree to go part-time. The parents are also offered to stay home while their kids are having school holidays, in return for less payment. "Being one of the largest employers in the United Kingdom, I think this is an extremely progressive way of managing costs during a recessions, rather than making redundancies," the spokesman said.
