www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Vodafone at the Wireless 2.0 summit in Bristol reportedly said that it plans to wait until 2012 to to deploy LTE (4G),  however, the company will benefit from an inside track on progress by its joint venture with Verizon Wireless, which plans to roll launch LTE in 2010.
Professor Michael Walker, group R&D director at Vodafone, made the following statement: “There will be no European LTE networks in 2010 except for a few small ones to demonstrate capabilities to governments. Vodafone roll-out will depend on geography, but won’t be before 2012.”
