Regulator forbids zero mobile tariffs (Ukraine)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: According to a report, Ukraine’s National Communications Regulation Commission has forbidden mobile operators from setting zero tariffs for their services.

‘There are no, and cannot be any, zero tariffs,’ commission member Liudmyla Artiushenko said, adding that the telecommunications laws state that tariffs cannot be lower than cost, which would constitute ‘price dumping’. Astelit and MTS Ukraine reportedly called the activities of the regulator ‘unlawful.’
