Ericsson completes Vodafone network upgrades 2 months ahead of schedule (India)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Ericsson has completed Vodafone network upgradation two months ahead of schedule. Ericsson announced that it replaced more than 10,500 GSM base stations in four of India’s ‘key zones’, including three large metro cities; Delhi, Mumbai and Calcutta.

Ericsson said that at its peak rate the project saw it replace one base station every minute. In total the vendor delivered in excess of 16,000 base station cabinets and more than 250 base station controllers.
