www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Tata DoCoMo, the GSM operator and a joint venture between Tata and NTT DoCoMo, has reportedly unveiled that the national roll out of mobile services by October’09. The company, which has received licences for 19 circles and spectrum for 18 circles, has launched its services in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, after covering Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa and Karnataka.
Mr Anil Sardana, Managing Director of Tata Tele Services Limited, said the company hoped that the spectrum for Delhi circle would be released soon. “We have written to the Government on this issue,” he said.
THe operator has also said that it has come with an innovative pay-per-use with one-paise per second pulse rate plan to target a cluttered market.
Mr Deepak Gulati, President of Tata Docomo, said the Indian mobile market was growing significantly. “We are adding 10-11 million every month.”
