Orange and T-mobile to get access to the iPhone in the UK

Apple will make the older iPhones available to Orange and T-Mobile in the UK as early as September 2009, when Apple’s 2 year partnership with O2 is due to end. (Source: MobileToday)

O2 will continue to have access to the faster 3Gs version. It is likely that the 2 networks will under-cut O2 prices on the iPhone 3G.

MobileToday reports that a source at 3 claims that there are ‘thousands’ of unlocked iphones on its network already! Consumers on 3 are using it for skype primarily it seems.
