SK Telecom ends Q1’09 with net income of $251Mn (South Korea)

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: SK Telecom, the South Korean mobile operator, has reportedly posted a 4.6% rise in Q1’09 net profits since Q1’09 driven by higher revenues. Net income stood at 311.6 billion won (US$251 million) in the April-June period, compared with 298 billion won a year ago, the company said. The earnings in comparison to Q1’08 fell by 1.6%.
Sales rose 4.7% to 3.07 trillion won, while operating profit rose 3.8% to 553 billion won, it said.
