France Telecom faces fine of $39.3Mn

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: France Telecom has been fined of EUR27.6 million (USD39.3 million) after the country’s competition authority judged that the telco had abused its dominant position in French overseas territories. According to a statement of the authority, between 2001-06, France Telecom made it difficult for new operators in the fixed line and broadband markets in Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana and Reunion.
