AAPT and Telstra agree commercial terms

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Telstra Wholesale and AAPT today announced that they have reached commercial agreement on a broad range of products and services including Wholesale Line Rental (WLR), Local Carriage Service (LCS) and PSTN Originating Terminating Access (PSTN OTA).

The agreement extends an existing long-term commercial relationship initially forged between the two parties in 1991 when AAPT, Australia’s third largest telecommunications group, started offering competitive fixed line services to Australian consumers.

In concluding the deal Telstra Wholesale Group Managing Director Paul Geason said he was very pleased to have reached a commercial resolution which was strongly desired by both Telstra Wholesale and AAPT and allowed both parties to get on with business.

“This agreement clearly demonstrates that Telstra Wholesale is eager and willing to work with its customers to achieve commercial results for all parties.

“We have an ongoing commitment to serving AAPT and helping them to deliver quality services to their end-users all over Australia,” Mr Geason said.

In welcoming the certainty achieved through this agreement AAPT CEO Paul Broad said Telstra and AAPT had developed a pragmatic commercial relationship over many years.

“We have reached an agreement which enables AAPT to continue offering competitively-priced, innovative products and services to our customers,” Mr Broad said.
