Orange Dominicana introduces solar-powered GSM network

Orange claims that the new solar-powered base stations are ten times more efficient than traditional electric-powered cell sites, adding that the new units offer zero carbon dioxide emissions and zero noise. In the first phase, telco aims to build 30 base stations.
