Sony Ericsson launches Jalou fashion handset

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Sony Ericsson, the Swedish handset manufacturer, has reportedly launched a fashion phone dubbed Jalou. The handset adorns a facet-cut diamond shape design, the HSPA handset features a Walk Mate step counter as well as a screen that becomes a mirror at the touch of a button. Other features include the 3.2 megapixel camera, music player, video recording, 3G, Bluetooth, built-in FM radio and internet access. Jalou will be available in various gem-inspired colours, including deep amethyst, aquamarine blue and onyx black in selected markets in the fourth quarter.
The manufacturer will also introduce a limited edition of the handset in a 24-carat gold plating, complete with exclusive packaging and accessories, including three silky rose satin bags to protect the phone, store the charger, or carry jewellery.
The rose-coloured phone will come preloaded with special content, such as exclusive photography and video clips from Dolce & Gabbana’s women’s Autumn/Winter 2010 runway show and backstage footage, as well as stylish themes and wallpapers and a Dolce & Gabbana blog that sends the latest trends, news and gossip directly to the mobile phone via a RSS feed. The Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana will be available on selected markets in Q4’09 in Sparkling Rose colour.
