Five prizes will be presented every week. A total of 20 prizes worth over 300,000 baht will be given from August 17 to September 13, 2009. The list of lucky customers will be announced on www.dtac.co.th.
DTAC introduces SMS Internet SIM, the latest in its Second SIM series, especially as the most financially reasonable service for the customers whose demands focus on SMS and data. The service fee is very economical, 149 baht a month, for the transmission of 200 short messages and 20 hours of EDGE/GPRS connection monthly. For further service use, customers will pay only half the normal fees. The new SIM cards are launched in conjunction with HTC as customers are eligible for free HTC Snap smartphones and free 1-year use of SMS Internet SIM cards.
Chaiyod Chirabowornkul, Head of dtac’s Postpaid Business Division, said that dtac gradually rolled out products in its Second SIM series in the past year. It started with Internet SIM that offered very economical services to data-oriented customers. Then SMS SIM was launched for the customers who often send short messages and rarely make phone calls. Both SIM products receive a warm welcome from target groups and have about 100,000 subscribers.
Customers respond satisfactorily to the Second SIM idea. However, we are aware that there is another group of postpaid customers who have both data and SMS demands. This leads to the SMS Internet SIM that lets customers use both services comfortably. It charges only 149 baht per month and allows customers to send 200 short messages and have a total of 20 hours of EDGE/GPRS connection free of further charge. Further use that exceeds the quota is subject to only half the normal fees. SMS will charge them 1 baht, MMS 2.50 baht and EDGE/GPRS 50 satang, half their normal rates of 2 baht, 5 baht and 1 baht respectively. Phone calls to all networks charge 1.50 baht per minute. I believe this will fit the demands of this target group,†Chaiyod said.
Introducing SMS Internet SIM, dtac and its ally, HTC (Thailand) Company Limited, jointly launch a promotional campaign. Today, the customers who buy HTC Snap smartphones receive SMS Internet SIM and can use the cards free of charge for 1 year. They enjoy the privilege of sending 200 short messages and 20 hours of EDGE/GPRS connection per month free of charge. Customers will also be eligible for lucky draws which offer HTC Snap smartphones and free 1-year use of SMS Internet SIM if they introduce the promotional campaign to 10 friends through forwarded emails or www.dtac.co.th. Five prizes are given every week and there are a total of 20 prizes worth over 300,000 baht for lucky customers to win from August 17 to September 13, 2009.
