Samsung unveils “Mpower 699″, OMH phone in India

Samsung, the mobile handset manufacturer, has reportedly revealed the world’s first OMH handset, dubbed as “Mpower 699″ in the Indian mobile market. The handset manufacturer has collaborated with Qualcomm to develop digital wireless communications products and services.
The firm says that OMH technology offers users the option to buy SIM cards for CDMA handsets from operators of their choice. The handset will be available at a price tag of Rs.7000 in the Indian market. According to the company, the new mobile phone is the world’s first CDMA phone to offer the option of network settings for CDMA connections. After India, Samsung will focus launching the OMH phone in Southeast Asia, Middle Eastern countries and Sub-Saharan Africa.
