Chris Tobit appointed Warid’s CEO by Airtel
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Chris Tobit has been appointed as director of sales and operations, enterprise business to head Bharti’s Airtel newly acquired Warid Telecom. Airtel has bought 70% stake in Bangladesh’s Warid telecom.
Chris has been serving the company for a decade now and has held several senior positions like heading the telco’s operations in Maharashtra & Delhi. Milan Rao, Airtel’s current CEO, global voice business at its enterprise division, will succeed Chris.
Meanwhile, Shaun Parmer, the corporate director at the Bharti Enterprises for M&A and business development has resigned from the company. He was also responsible for strategic alliances and other business development at the group. Bharti Airtel’s latest move to elevate its current chief executive and joint MD of Indian operations, Manoj Kohli might be the reason behind his resignation.
