Nokia wins patent dispute against IPCom

www.WirelessFederation.com/news: Patent dispute between Nokia and German- based company IPCom ended after Nokia won the court case in London’s High Court. The court ruled that the two IPCom patents relating to mobile network technology has not been infringed by Nokia because the patents were invalid.

Since the break down of technology licensing negotiations, Nokia and IPCom have been at loggerheads with IPCom accusing Nokia of infringing its patents, while the Finnish group challenged the patents. A legal action was pursued by IPCom against Nokia in German courts an d Nokia responded by launching court proceedings in the UK against 15 IPCom patents.

With this victory, Nokia has already braced itself for fresh legal conflict with Apple of the US vowing to defend itself against a patent complaint filed by Apple.
