Telstra’s Next G HSPA+ network speed doubled
www.WirelessFederation.com/news: In order to allow theoretical maximum download speeds of 42 megabits per second, Telstra has doubled the speed of its Next G HSPA+ network and expects the speed of up to 82Mbps to come live in a year’s time.
A software upgrade to Telstra’s Next G network using dual carrier technology has resulted in the increase of the download speed from 21Mbps to 42Mbps. The company claims that Next G network is the first mobile service in the world to offer 42Mbps download speeds.
